Today is the first day of the FHA 2006. Met my classmates at Tampines interchange for lunch. After lunch, headed off to Singapore Expo.
Didn't know what to expect there but the moment I stepped in....... I was blown away by the latest technology in kitchen equipments and the food prepared by top chefs from around the world.
There's a total of 6 halls that are used for the FHA and each hall is roughly the size of 2 football field side by side. So I guess 4 days is not enough if you really want to see every single thing.
But there's one thing that I'm interested in and that's the competition. If I'm not wrong, there's plating, cooking and ice sculpting competition.
Heard from a few of my classmate who went to see the ice sculpting competition, that a competitor from Thailand was really unlucky.
According to them, the Thai sculptor's art piece was very beautiful. When the judge went over to his art piece to grade, the sculptor's art piece collapsed and the Thai sculptor just stood there and cry.
Saw alot of nice dishes. Really admire those chefs who could come out with such beautiful piece of food art. Of course all these comes with experience. Hopefully i could be one of the elite chefs.
Tomorrow will be an exciting day at the FHA cause the will be a competition and students from my school will be taking part. They are called 'Shatec Dream Team Singapore. (They were the champion at last year's cooking competition.)
Sorry, couldn't up load any pics cause i've used up all the given memory storage for this month. Gotta wait till next month before i could up load all my pictures. |
